A single materials platform that reduces glare, solar heat gain, and energy load automatically. Entry market: transit and commercial fleet safety. Built to expand across buildings and aerospace.
Nexus Securus Systems LLC is a New York-based advanced materials technology company developing patent-pending adaptive electro-optical glazing. The platform senses light, heat, and solar conditions and modulates automatically, with no mechanical systems.
The entry market is transit and commercial fleet safety, where glare is a documented liability for operators. Glare is a factor in roughly 1 in 4 vehicle crashes, and there is no passive adaptive solution on the market. Commercial real estate and aerospace follow from the same platform.
NSS is actively pursuing grants, pilot partnerships, and strategic relationships built on technical rigor and long-term IP strategy.
NSS is developing advanced material-based tint systems engineered to respond dynamically to light and heat conditions. The technology operates at the material level, embedded in or applied to glass and film surfaces, with no mechanical systems and no structural modification required.
Traditional window tint is static, blocking a fixed percentage of light regardless of conditions. NSS technology embeds electro-optical elements directly into the film or glass substrate. When voltage is applied or environmental thresholds are crossed, the material itself responds, modulating how much light and heat passes through. The response is multi-stimulus, driven by light, heat, and solar load together rather than a single input.
Fixed transmission. No environmental response. No user control. Blocks the same amount of light at dawn as it does at noon. Provides no dynamic energy management and cannot adapt to changing conditions.
Dynamic light transmission. Real-time environmental response. Automatic and manual control modes. Modulates continuously based on solar intensity, heat load, and occupant preference, without mechanical systems or structural modification.
The result is a window that responds like a living system, darker when solar intensity is high, clearer when conditions change, and always under the occupant's control. No mechanical parts. No structural modification. Engineered at the material level, experienced at the human level.
Most adaptive glazing reacts to a single trigger or depends on mechanical systems. NSS works at the material level across multiple inputs, and that is what makes it both hard to replicate and broadly applicable.
The same conditions. Two different responses. Fixed tint holds one value all day. NSS adaptive glazing modulates as glare and solar load change, on a single platform configured for different environments.
Multi-stimulus response. The adaptive pane reacts to glare from a low sun and solar heat at high sun together, darkening when either rises and clearing when both fall. Fixed tint holds one value all day. Conceptual simulation. Illustrative behavior, not measured performance.
USPTO 63/921,781 · Patent PendingNSS is currently in active prototype development. The technical architecture is established, the materials approach is defined, and the provisional patent protecting the core adaptive glazing mechanism was filed in November 2025. Prototype build and initial substrate testing are the current operational focus, with controlled performance testing targeted for Q3 2026.
We are actively seeking transit authority and commercial fleet pilot partners, with commercial real estate and aerospace as follow-on. Contact us at admin@nexussecurussystems.com.
One materials platform serves three markets. NSS leads with transit and commercial fleet safety as the entry market, then expands to commercial real estate and aerospace. The technology does not have to be rebuilt for each.
Glare is a documented safety and liability exposure for transit authorities and fleet operators. NSS reduces it automatically, with no driver action and no structural modification. Retrofit-compatible across the fleet. This is the beachhead.
Buildings are among the largest energy consumers on earth. NSS glazing reduces solar heat gain, cuts HVAC load, and improves occupant comfort without structural change.
Cabin glazing and cockpit environments demand the highest standards for light management. NSS addresses aerospace-grade requirements with adaptive, on-demand tint control.
The conditions favoring adaptive glazing are converging across all three markets.
NSS is structured for partnership at three levels. Whether you are an operator seeking early access, an integrator exploring licensing, or a research institution eligible for joint federal programs, there is a path to working with NSS.
Early access to NSS adaptive tint technology for controlled deployment in your fleet, building, or aircraft. Zero cost in exchange for performance data and co-development input.
OEM, materials supplier, or systems integrator seeking to integrate NSS technology into existing product lines. Licensing and co-development agreements available.
Government agencies, national labs, and research institutions eligible for joint federal grant applications under NSF SBIR, DOE, and MBDA programs. NSS is registered in SAM.gov (UEI: H9EKGJK8NHG9) and eligible for federal assistance awards. Registration active through December 15, 2026.

The company was built on a single conviction: fixed glass is a passive material operating in dynamic environments. NSS was founded to close that gap, combining product discipline, technical rigor, and a long-term IP strategy to compete in a market historically dominated by large OEM suppliers. NSS is an advanced materials technology company developing patent-pending adaptive glazing solutions engineered at the material level, built on a foundation of technical rigor, operational discipline, and long-term IP strategy.
NSS is currently pursuing recognition through select accelerator programs, federal small business initiatives, and industry trade publications covering advanced materials and clean energy technology.
